STA Travel Selects Casey Hudetz and Natalie Webb as the 2010 World Traveler Interns

DALLAS, TX – APRIL 15, 2010 - STA Travel – the youth travel expert enabling students and young adults to explore the world – announced today that Casey Hudetz and Natalie Webb will travel the world this summer on STA Travel’s dime as the 2010 World Traveler Interns.

Selected from thousands of applicants who created profiles on worldtravelerinternship.com during the application period in January and February 2010, Hudetz and Webb will now embark on the trip of a lifetime this summer.

From Peru to Europe, the pair will spend the entire summer documenting their journey via photos, videos, blog posts, and tweets that will be collected on worldtravelerinternship.com so fans around the world can follow their journey.

After a grueling application process including two videos, a full resume and going through a interview with a panel of STA Travel judges, the final two Interns were selected based on a video each applicant created showing STA Travel judges where they should visit if checking out the applicant’s hometown.

The Itinerary

The World Traveler Interns start their journey in Peru, volunteering at a STA-supported voluntourism project providing after-school tutoring and warm meals to orphaned children in Cuzco, near iconic Machu Picchu. Follow that with a trip through Brazil and Argentina, and a couple weeks in Australia, including a stop in Tasmania, and the Interns are off to a flying start.

The Interns start July in Japan hitting Tokyo and Kyoto before making their way to Thailand for some island hopping and Turkey, where they will visit Istanbul and the site of the Trojan War.

August offers a bit more freedom for the Interns. After a week in Egypt with the pyramids, the Interns will help plan their own itinerary with a Eurail Global Pass and take two weeks to explore Western Europe before heading home to the U.S.
